Long & Foster takes the ownership of content very seriously and has a strict policy to protect ownership of content displayed on this site, or any Long & Foster hosted subdomain, sub-directory, meta tag or the like. Long & Foster responds to copyright infringement claims submitted under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). Section 512 of the DMCA outlines the requirements necessary for formally reporting copyright infringement, as well as providing instructions on how an affected party can appeal a removal by submitting a compliant counter-notice.
Note that not all unauthorized uses of copyrighted materials are infringements. If you believe that Long & Foster resources are being used to host or distribute copyrighted material that you own without your permission, first consider whether there is an exception to copyright infringement that applies (such as Fair Use).
